End Each Post With a Focused Call to Action

A Call to Action (CTA) is a message or image (or combination) that is strategically placed to guide your audience on the next steps they should be taking after reading a post.

CTA’s can take many forms. They could be a suggestion to subscribe for your blogs email, they might propose other content of interest and, in context of monetizing your blog, they guide your readers towards the product or service that you are recommending.

Not having a CTA is really just missing out on an opportunity to remind your audience what they should consider doing. It’s essentially a missed opportunity.

Every post, and possible each page, should have a CTA. If it isn’t appropriate to have a CTA, ask yourself if the post is actually valuable to your blog and your readers.

Remember that not every post needs to sell something, but every post should (as a minimum) recommend a next step – which might just be other content of interest or another blog that the audience should check out.
